Dominic Jones F/W 2012 Jewelley

Dominic Jones a London-based designer was inspired by the far-and-away palaces of Arabian Kings and South East Asian temples for this f/w jewellery collection. The jewellery designs reflect architectural structures from another time and distant lands, “trinkets and artifacts that were brought back to the daughters by the Lords that went to fight in the Crusades,” he says about the pieces. The jewellery looks amazing contrasted with the very pale Victorian undertone of this shoot.

Yago Hortal‘s acrylic paintings

I wonder who was inspired by who, the fashion designers by Yago Hortal‘s acrylic paintings, or the other way around? . . . Either way these painting are amazing and really go with the colours of this season! I love his use of vibrant colours and the way he uses smeared and marbled effects on solid colours, creates for such a dynamic effect with lots of movement and energy. Check out his site for more details, definitely an artist to watch!

Melbourne artist Gavin Brown

Spring is in the air and flowers are on the screen, curtesy of amazing Melbourne artist Gavin Brown. We just love his, slightly sinister, bold paintings, that portray people and nature with organic lushness, and beautiful vivid colours.  Brown was bourn in Melbourne which has inspired his art with it's  richly coloured graffiti-like images of people and situations, where fleshy faces and tattooed skin compete for attention with birds, fruit and flowers.

Minimal El Pais shoot with Cara Delevingne

In fashion there are many times where less is more. This 90's Tuxedo inspired editorial in El Pais is a perfect example of that.
To get the minimal but edgy look, try pairing a cut out cropped top with a Tuxedo blazer , and a classy shoe like our Tuxedo. To make the outfit more casual wear skinny jeans instead of pants.

Florian Imgrund Photography

Double exposure has always been one of my favorite photography styles. Creating dreamy etheral images that look like fairytales or dreams is not easy with a camera, but when it works the effect is amazing. Florian Imgrund seems to have mastered the art, and has been shooting black and wite double exposure images since 2010. He does not use photoshop to create these. Here are a couple of my favorites, check out his portfolio for more .
